sunday was an interesting day. lots of traveling.
it day started with me bringing my mum out to bedok for breakfast. and along the way, she started talking about heading to my brother's place. but through the whole duration of the breakfast, we couldn't get through to my brother or his wife. and so we drove home. i told mum i wanted to head to the pool for a swim and she said she wanted to follow... ended up, we arrived home and i wheeled her to the poolside while i do my swim (damned! it's been so long since i last swam, i was panting like crazy and my arms started aching by the time i completed my 6th lap! and it's the 30m lap! ekes! compared to me swimming 43 x 50m laps when i hit my 43rd birthday) ok, back to sunday morning... so, as i was swimming, my sis-in-law called and said she was home... and immediately after my swim, my mum said she wanted to head to her house... and so... yup, we travelled 3/4 the length of this merlion land to visit and play with my niece. by the time we got home, it was late afternoon...
i think i might have traveled more than 150km on sunday itself! come to think of it, it is quite an expensive affair to maintain my mum, considering all the traveling i do daily, especially on weekends.
