today, i got a nice surprise. or rather, 2 nice surprises.
i got my letter of confirmation from my big boss - 2 months ahead of the "normal" probationary period. and on top of that, he told me that the date for my elevation to a higher appointment has also been firmed. can't wait for the day to come, considering how my current boss (whom i’ll be taking over) is creating a lot of unnecessary tensions amongst the people in the team and spreading a lot of rumours. sad. really sad, considering how he kept saying he had put in so much effort to built it up. so, in the few weeks before he leaves, it seemed like he wants to destroy it! in the last few weeks, i totally lost my respects for him. then again, i just tell myself not to be involved in the rumour-mongering, just do my best and try as far as i can to help him before he moves on.
