disturbing

ref my earlier posting on "i teach gp, not homosexuality", i have just learnt that the lady "lisa li" (supposedly a gp teacher) who posted it has been forced by the education ministry to remove the post after some "anonymous" person/s made a complain.

frankly, i am not surprised by this reaction from the ministry although i am rather disturbed about it (if is indeed true, and i see no reason not to believe so). firstly, yes, i do understand the need for responsible postings by public servants. but based on her reflections, my opinion is that she has been very objective when she stated her views and that her stand that all facts need to be provided in order for the subject to be robustly thought through is a logical one. isn't this what gp is all about? secondly, what did this act of the ministry signal? that public servants no longer have the ability to share their individual point of views?

hmmmph!
