i went for the ultra-sound treatment for my plantar fasciitis on friday. it was a short 10min ultrasound treatment for each foot. it was surprisingly not painful (unlike the ultra-sound treatment i wh=ent through to remove my kidney stones). and at the end of the process, the doctor told me i should rest over the next few days and avoid walking. heh... this is not possible, i told myself. how to not walk when i have to bring my mum out for her routine walks, meals, etc...
but i must say, my feet felt less painful when i woke up the yesterday. lets' hope the pain reduces over time. been told the pain will reduce and plateau off about 3-4 days post-treatment. need to repeat the treatment next friday to force the healing process again.
:-)
The ultrasound is good. After removing cast, I still encountered pain on my foot. The physiotherapist left the small portable ultrasound machine for me to use...after 4 days self administered treatment. It healed! Amazing.
