last friday, met up with the hiring manager of the company that interviewed me previously. went through a 2-hour talk (chit-chat session) where the hiring manager spoke very openly about what her expectations are and what i could expect if i were to join them. i appreciated her openness and i also shared, in as open a manner, about my desire to observe my daily routines (with regards my mum) if i were to join them. better lay all cards clearly on the table now, i thought.
the conversation ended with the hiring manager telling me that the position would only be open first quarter 2016. nonetheless, she indicated she was very keen to have me join her. as of now, things sound very positive with only one issue - i am not confident i would be able to deliver to expectations. the job scope of the position was tremendously wide and the expectations were very high. need to think through it thoroughly before any offer comes (if it comes)...
