today is vesak 2559. today, we commemorate the birth, enlightenment and the passing of the buddha 2559 years ago. and as per all vesak celebrations, i participated in the 3-step-1-bow ceremony at the temple last night. i had participated in this since 1991 (if i remember correctly, or was it 1992?...). i made a personal commitment to do it if i should do well for my honours year and i had not stopped doing so since. increasingly, i am feeling my age and this year, the worry of my body not being able to take it was very real. this was particularly so over the past 2 days when i had a slight lower back muscle pull. but thankfully, i recovered and made it.
am feeling rather achy as of now.
