my staff finally tendered her resignation today.
but before that, i thought we had a very interesting start to the day. i started by charting out all the goals that we need to achieve this month (that's my start of the month routine). and i told her to make sure she spare some energy to list out all the processes she manages and to write them down. after that, we went for our morning coffee and i spend a relatively long time coaching her on her career progression.
funny right? a boss giving advice to his staff about how to chart out careers and about how to move forward with the new employer. i wanted to do so cos she is pondering between two offers and couldn't convince herself which is a better choice. i was glad that after the conversation, she cleared her thoughts and will be heading down to her new employer's office to sign the contract tomorrow.
