wrong perception

as a gay person, i always get all sorts of comments from my straight friends/ siblings/ relatives that reflect their misperception about single persons. here's some examples...

• you are single, thus you are richer as you have less financial responsibilities. this cannot be more wrong. yes i am single, but hey, becos i am single, i have to single handedly shoulder the full responsibilities of financing my house, my car, my etc... whereas for you married people, you can share the load! damned!
• you are single, your overheads are less, eg your electricity bills are less. err... sorry hor, a house is a house. regardless of whether 1, 2, 3 of more people stay, the electric needed to run a fridge or a lamp, or water heater is the same. also, when it comes to paying bills, singles have to shoulder it single-handedly (just like above).
• you are single, thus it will be easier for you to take care of mum (or dad for that matter). halo! i am single, all the more i need time to socialize! i need time out for myself! comparatively speaking, you married people have families and will therefore be easier to share responsibilities when i comes to looking after the elderly!
