my immediate boss threw me an interesting question yesterday. he asked if i could extend at least a month to help him tide over this "difficult period"... i told him i will think about it. but frankly, in my mind, i was thinking, come on, this so called difficult period was created by you. come on, i purposely planned my departure early oct so that i can avoid the whole month cos i can expect shit to happen, balls to drop, haywire to occur... all becos you had time and again refused to give the go ahead to get resources...
i must be crazy to extend, i thought. i told my staff about this and similarly he laughed. interestingly he added, sir, he is crazy to ask you to extend. if i were you, i would leave on a high (as it is now)... don't give him chance to put the blame on you when things start to fall apart...
and that is exactly what i am gonna do!
