many of us, gay persons, have 2 birthdays. first, it is the day we were born physically into this world. and the other we were born as a gay person into this world, i.e, our coming out. both are as painful and both are as defining. for me, the first birth was in dec 1966, and the second, aug 1996.

We also have to remember that for some, there is no birthGAY -just a slow painful child birth that drags for years & years -& then to decide whether to keep the "baby", hide the "baby", give the "baby" away or ...kill the "baby"...
