it's interesting the kinda thoughts that went through my mind when i think about how to break the news of my intended resignation to my unit and my immediate reports. they have given me their support and we have worked very well.
i took over my unit at a time where their morale was the lowest. and i have managed to bring it up to where we are today. we are probably the happiest unit in the whole company now. as for my immediate reports, there has been quite a few turnover and many have stayed/ chose to come over because of me... hmmm...
while the key motivation to my decision to move on is largely due to my boss and my big boss, i have stayed thus far because of my staff as well as my desire to clock 2-minimum years in the company. so, i am feeling kinda bad and in quite a difficult position now to break the news to them... i suspect there could be some follow-on resignations, but i cannot help it...
