haha... i went for lunch with an old friend earlier on at lei garden orchard. our usual monthly lunch. and we spoke and catch up about one another's life. and so he asked me if i have resigned (i told him last month), etc. we also mused about the wisdom of the 80-20 rule. 80% of our returns are always achieved from 20% of our efforts. the other 80% of our efforts goes to achieving the remaining 20% of our returns or, worst still, contribute to other people's objectives.... so, why try to squeeze yourself dry and stressed yourself out when you have already achieve the 80%? how true indeed! ha!
after a quick coffee post-lunch, i said i need to rush back office to work and he asked an interesting question - why rush? you gonna quit right? even if you rush through and get all the things done, in 2 month's time, what you achieve by rushing back would no longer matter right?
hmmm....
