'cuse me 'cuse me...

the last time i did my audiometry test (aug 07), my left ear was found to be high-pitch deaf. but after some checks, the doctor passed my medical check up. once again today, i did my audiometry test. the test showed that not only was my left ear high-pitch deaf, even my right ear has lost the ability to detect high pitch too. hmmm... by rite, i should be worried and upset. but given the experience of my left ear, the new development did not frighten me. i took it as that - yup, my condition had worsened. and wow, i thought - talk about incremental (or perhaps more appropriately - detrimental) change in health conditions... then again, i cannot do any about it... so, move on. and hmmm, i actually laughed about it!

it's a sign of aging. i am sure about it. much as it had started, the worsening will come. and perhaps someday, i will get more spare parts breaking down. and perhaps someday the checks will show i have some growth somewhere... possible. very possible. it's all part of life. we come, we go. and i am no longer upset by it... in fact, this awareness helped me appreciate my current state of being. yes, i appreciate the fact that i can sit up, i can walk, i can talk, i can hear, i can type this post... yes, i am relatively healthy. much healthier than some. i am much healthier than many!

:-)

Yah, guess it's another phase of life. It's harsh and I will have to or hope that I am able to accept it when it comes.
