清明节

these two weeks, we observe 清明节 (qīng míng jié) or tomb-sweeping day. considering it is a major chinese festival, i thought it would be a good gesture to observe this day by paying respects to my dad together with my mum and brother. and so when i asked my mum last week, she said that my brother will be doing it this coming sunday (5 apr). i told her i will join in and to keep me posted about the details. when i called my mum and asked for details yesterday, my mum told me my brother had gone ahead and did the prayers friday.

frankly, i was not surprise. perhaps a little disappointed, and perhaps a hint of gladness (cos i need not see him). then again, it doesn't matter... sighs.
