inspiring songs

these two songs were from my childhood days in the 1970s.

for the first song, it was one of the earliest that i could recall. it was from a movie that my mum brought me to watch and the song kinda got stuck in my mind after that. very inspiring song that encourages one to pick oneself up when one falls down.

for the second song, my eldest sis used to sing it when she was in her secondary school. it was also a song that my officer cadet school platoon used to sing as we marched along in camp. it is about how the singer wished she was like the seagull, searching for its goals and ideals as it soars higher and higher in the skies, and how she wished she could be as brave and strong as the seagull.

the lyrics of both songs are very inspiring. we don't have songs like these anymore these days.

and i have specifically dedicated these songs to my blog kawan (friend) chinese prick.
