today marked the first time my nephew called me! i was kinda shocked but i was really happy! it happened this evening when my sis-in-law called me earlier on the phone. once i picked up the phone, i heard my nephew called out "pork pork!!!".
his sudden uttering of that two words caught my sis-in-law by surprise too for she exclaimed immediately "wahhhh, hongwei called pork pork nor!" and next thing i knew, i heard her teasing him "why so shy now? looking away and smiling huh?" so cute right? and it was even more funny cos he had followed his sister in addressing me as "pork pork" cos she had difficulties pronouncing "da bo" or "大伯“ (chinese for elder uncle) when she spoke her first words too.
anyway, for the rest of the evening, he was just going "pork pork, pork pork" non-stop.
