walking with dinosaurs 3d

we watched walking with dinosaurs (3d) last night.

if the director had not tried to make it into an animated tale and simply produced it as a documentary, it would have been perfect for me. but regrettably, the director weaved in a love story, incorporate human values, human conversation, etc yet overlay the conversation over grunts and squeals of the dinosaurs, it ended up like a movie produced for dinosaurs but dubbed in english to suit human consumption. kinda awkward. in the end, it felt like a lazily produced show.

otherwise, i liked how the whole production incorporated physical details of the dinosaurs and tried to be evolutionarily accurate (e.g. use of flora and fauna that was reflective of that era). ok, perhaps there was an underemphasis on the aquatic and marine ecosystem. and of course, the sceneries created were really stunning and beautiful.
