usually i'd feel relieved and happy when i get discharged from any treatment at the hospital. but yesterday, when my physiotherapist told me he would be discharging me after my next appointment in 2 weeks' time, i felt disappointed and sad. while he said that he thought i should be able to manage my own recovery henceforth given that i have shown significant improvement, i thought the real reason was that he would be leaving for hong kong, his home city for good, very soon.
this news took me by surprise as i had previously thought he would be here for at least half a year more. sighs... anyway, he explained that he had to return becos of his girlfriend and his family. i didn't asked further. i was sure there were valid reasons. nonetheless, i cannot help but feel a little sad to see him go. after having been treated by him over a period of 3-4 months, i guessed i have come to see him as a friend.
when i went to pay for the treatment, the cashier lamented to me that apart from my physiotherapist, the center would also be losing 3 more in the coming weeks. she added that they all felt very sad as all 4 of them (she added - especially my physiotherapist) were very good and friendly and had also recieved very good feedback from their patients. sighs... cannot agree more with her! i wish him well... think i'll go shop for him a little memento to remember singapore by.
