career options

attended a 2-day workshop on managing career transition and as part of the programme, i had to participate in a survey. the survey helps to surface, to the individual's awareness, his strength, weaknesses, interests and affinity towards a particular field of jobs... and interestingly, i discovered/ reaffirmed the following:
  • i do well in people-related jobs (despite the fact that all my personality surveys tell me i am a v v v introverted & reflective person), leading teams, etc. some suggested areas that can be considered my strengths are in coaching, team-building, facilitating & leading.
  • the fields that i am least suited for include those related to the arts, literary, scientific research, fields that requires me to strategize... (may be that's why james always had tensions with me when it came to literary stuff! it's just not me! hmmm, i was so rite when i told him to stop trying to make me be like him)
  • the fields that i am most suited include those that deal with knowledge-specialist areas, jobs that has a high-level of social service-relatedness as well as jobs that has a high degree of being outside (outdoor activities-based).
and coupled with a few other factors surveyed, it suggested that i should look at events management-related, education/ training-related, social service management, administration management-related fields... so what other jobs are there that suits these description?

lots of food for thought!
