titrate upwards

when i visited my mum yesterday, i voiced my concerns with the hospital doctor for giving mum such a low dosage of her mental institute medications.

i thought the doctor had over-reacted. but it was with good intentions nonetheless. apparently, when she was admitted, they gave her the usual dosage of her mental medicine and as a result, she got totally knocked out. and then the doctors in the a&e department thought she had suffered a stroke and pressed the alarm and activated the neuro-specialist. and on the second day, they got over-conservative and cut her usual dosage to a quarter… this resulted in her getting paranoid and begin spouting all sorts of accusations and worries immediately after her vital signs stabilized.

anyway, after i voiced my concerns yesterday, i was glad that they took heed of my advice to titrate her mental institute's medications upwards again. she seemed a little more stable mentally today. nonetheless, she was still saying some unpleasant things that suggest her paranoia was still there. i did a check this evening and was glad that they have increased the dosage back to her pre-hospitalization levels. lets' hope she gets "a little more" normal tomorrow.

if things continue to be so smooth and she continue to respond well to the treatment, i think she would be discharged in 2 days time.

let's see...

Glad to see your post that she is recovering. Good news! After this, please pump her with all her favourite nutritious foods, boost her immunity up.

Thanks Steve, your comment just reminded me about the need to bring her some tonic. Heading to the hospital now!

Thanks
