well yes, that is how the auntie at the market pronounce the word "mercedez" - mar-seh-lee. and it was quite funny actually. was pushing mum along the housing estate shop houses and came face-to-face with another auntie on a wheelchair. she was being pushed by her domestic helper. she looked at my mum, and then looked at me, and gave out a small laugh. and she said out loud "wah, chit pai chin chueh mar-seh-lee!" (wow, nowadays there's a lot of mercedez [people on wheelchair]!)
and off she went…
lol! it's nice to see things from a fun side and laugh at oneself once a while.
