weekend over

the weekend came and went... and i had plans to work over the weekend. brought back my laptop. thought through quite a bit of stuff, etc... but in the end, nothing was achieved. the usual weekend routines, etc set in. sweeping, washing, laundry, bathe the dog, etc and before i knew it... but of cos, this weekend was a little different from the other weekends. 

managed to have a drink with bee last night at the marina mandarin hotel. been a while since we did that. and i had to attend a wedding lunch today. it was an invite from an ex-military colleague and so i left mum over at my brother's place from morning. made my way to the wedding lunch and noted that a few of the army people were there. not too keen to talk to them anyway. and so, i wished the couple the very best, completed 2 of the 8(?)-course chinese lunch and left early (i wasn't too hot about having to chat with people i wasn't particularly close to). and i took the opportunity to take a break from mum... came home, brought the dog to pee and went for an afternoon walk-a-jog under the hot sun before heading to my brother's place again. been a long while since i was able to soak myself in the sun...

anyway, by the time i completed my exercise, i called mum and she sounded unhappy, just as i had expected. and when i arrived, she refused to talk to me. gave me black face. well, i pretended like as though i didn't notice anything and just played with my niece and nephew. she recovered after a while. and the rest of the day was as per routine. dinner and stuff...

one more weekend down.
