this evening, i was definitely not destined to clean or to fix things. you see, i have not washed the fan (the basket casing, the plastic blade, the back casing) for a couple of months and it had gathered lots of dust. and so with some time on my hand, i decided to disassemble the fan and wash the parts. slowly, i dismantled it part by part and brought them to the bath tub clean. and as usual, i'd use the shower hose to hose the dust off...
i took the shower head and i decided that since i was cleaning the fan, i might as well change the shower hose. you see, one end of my shower hose had leaked. been so for the longest time and i had procrastinated about changing it despite having bought the hose a year or so back. hmmm, and i thought, since i was in the mood to clean and fix things, why not change the hose to the new one too. and so, i went about getting the spanner, la la la... and after unscrewing all the ends and fixing up with the new hose, i realized the new one was too short to even reach the shower head holder. hmmm, changed it back. time to buy a new hose.
ok, back to the fan-cleaning. so, after refixing the shower head and the hose, i proceeded to clean the fan parts. first it was the cover, then the back... and with the completion of each part, i'd `gently' throw it onto my rug to dry. after hosing the plastic blade, i did the same. i threw it onto the rug. bloody hell, it landed onto the metal cover and next thing i knew, the blade broke! hmmmm... ok, never mind, i supposed a fan with 2 out of 3 blades should still function. perhaps less windy. so, i gingerly reassembled the whole fan. and when i switched it on, it started rattling slowly. and it got stronger. and then the whole fan started jumping as though it had a life of its own! argh! killed it before it starts killing me!
so where am i now? i need to buy a new hose and a new fan! ha ha ha!
