I think the tortoise doesn't need so much water when it is so big liao... It need warmth to disgest food one.
Last time, mine only let it swim in water when it is shitting time. But since the weather so hot, maybe a little water will be needed to cool this fellow.

i love to let my tortoise eat "xiang cai 香菜" when i keep terrapins. In this way, i always felt that the shit will be not as smelly as those fed with fried shrimps.
hey damien, thanks, that was certainly helpful. i gave the tortoise french beans last nite and till now, it has not even touch it! am hoping it does not die of hunger!
