retreat-ed

as per what i have expected all along, the retreat we had was nothing more than a wayang. as far as my boss is concerned, he is only focused on what the college's work objectives should look like next year. screw the vision, screw the mission, just be work towards the objectives... for that matter, screw the staff... at one stage, despite all of us voicing out our views, he went to the point of saying - i don't care about what the students say, you should la la la... and after that, it was a case of all of us shutting up and not saying anything anymore...

retreat? instructors as key partners of education? pack of bull shit.

what's the point of a retreat with the alleged intent of soliciting views when there is already a mind-set and focus on arrowing.
