today is my second anniversary with my company and was a quiet affair compared to last year.
last year, my department colleagues commemorated it with a cake and we had a little get together at the pantry as we chatted and relaxed. this year, other than one colleague that send me a quiet text that simply read "happy 2nd anniversary", no one else actually noted. the team is no more and this current boss frowns on anything non-work. so much so that he even imposed strict lunch hour-timings on us.
who cares what people impose right? but well, i still commemorated it by having a good lunch with another 2 colleagues. it had been a good 1 year 9 months, until this new boss came on board 3 months back. and as usual, i have met my personal target of staying minimally 2 years in a company before i leave.
so...
:-)
Hi Jeffrey,
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd Anniversary!
Always good to celebrate accomplishments. Even if it is bittersweet. It's so telling your new boss wants to take the human out of Human Resources ;-) It's a pity he seems so fear driven.
Glad you were able to get your car reasonably repaired. Especially with your leg acting up.
Take care, Edwin
