national days mean a whole lot of different things to me after 2005...
it reminds me about how the military organization i served for more than half my life turned against me becos of my sexuality, and how i vowed never again to recite the national pledge... i have never watch any more national day parades since then.
and lastly, it reminded me of my dad's passing in 2008.
