my car finally died on me last saturday (not yesterday). it happened while i was driving mum home from my brother's place. and i had to call for a tow truck and a cab in the middle of no where. what the hell right? but well... it was kinda interesting cos my car overheated along mandai road. a road where the birds don't even visit to lay eggs (literal translation of 鸟不生蛋)... haha... well, i let the car cool for a while and drove it again, and then it died again. and this time round, i decided to wait for a while, open up the radiator and pour in distilled water. but alas, i did not allow it to cool down sufficiently and next thing i knew, the whole coolant geysered out of the car! haha... anyway, it died and thankfully, i managed to drive to a small side road before it totally konked off.
i had initially wanted to kill and scrap my car but that decision came a little too late cos i had renewed my car insurance and road tax for one more year. and so, armed with this development, i decided to just repair my car. and so... after a week, i got the engine changed (managed to ask the guy to source for a second hand engine for me). and with it, the peripherals associated with the engine got changed too... heh heh... then again, the silver lining was that the new (second hand) engine is still newer than my car. and now, my car seemed so much more powerful, the central lock got repaired, and the feel is good.
