chance encounter

after talking to my mum and explaining to her about how bee was not about to kill her, i brought her out for breakfast. as usual, i brought her to bedok north market, the one closest to where bee lives. well... it so happened that as we were eating, bee's parents walked by. it caught me by surprised. i did not know how to respond. under normal circumstances, i would have introduced them to my mum and chatted with them. but given her state of paranoia and anxiety attack this morning, i chose to just say hello and no further. i really told myself i should try to talk to much cos mum has always said that bee's mum always cast black magic on her... (yes, illogical but... furthermore, she has not even met bee's mum before! yet she told me all her friends told her bee's mum very expert in black magic... sighs...). i supposed they felt a little weird with my seemingly less than enthusiastic response cos they went along soon after... immediately after they left, mum asked me who they were... i simply told her i know them cos they are the parents of some friends who lived nearby. thankfully, she left it as that and continued with her breakfast...
