x-man origins: first class
i am "mutant and proud".
i like... no, i love it!
hmmm... sound so gay right? everytime i watch x-men (regardless of which episode or which show), i will always get reminded of myself... a gay person. the words, the nuances, the storyline, and so on. and it was the same for the latest instalment - x-men origins: first class. then again, was i reading to much? maybe i was, maybe i was not. but watching shows such as x-men, i am sure all marginalized communities would be able to identify with the themes of wanting to fit in, hostilities, fear, stigmatization, etc right? then again, who cares? i am mutant and proud, i am gay and proud. what difference does it make? as long as i am happy and comfortable with what i am, that is the most important right?
ahhh, yes, i watched x-men origins: first class earlier on and it was really awesome. it explained everything! all questions i had about magneto, professor x, mystique, etc all fell into place. questions like - what were the origins behind their names, why professor x had to sit in a wheel chair, why magneto turned bad, what was the origins behind magneto's headgear, why professor x had never attempted to read mystique's mind, why magneto cried when professor x died, how the beast came about, etc... everything was answered! loved the show!
