this year, i do not feel the mood for cny at all! in fact, i didn’t even realize cny is just round the corner. it is such a non-event for me this year. this is such a great contrast compared to last year where i spent almost a month cleaning the house and preparing for it. heh heh… i guess it is also due to my pre-occupation with my work that cny is such a low key thing for me this time round.
the spring cleaning was done over 2 weekends. and even then, it was merely a touch and go thing. so unlike last year where everything was literally turned inside out, upside down and wiped, cleaned, washed and dustered. then again, it could be that due to last year’s great clean up that i need not do so much this year…
but i reckoned – the day will come and before you know it, it will be over. so… what’s the big fuss right? if cny is about family get-together and bridging bonds, then spring cleaning is about keeping things clean and hygienic. so, from this perspective, i think i have not gone very far…
