whew... it's the end of the first week of 2011. it had been a terribly busy week. well, that's actually nothing new. but this week seemed to have flew by so quickly. and frankly, this week marked quite a few firsts for me.
for a start, i had my first experience of representing my company for a business meeting. it was rather interesting and happened rather unexpectedly. there was a company that wanted to explore having some trainings overseas and asked to speak to a rep from my company. in the end, i ended up talking to him with a couple of other personnel from my company. certainly, it was a good learning experience. and judging by the rate of emails coming in, i guessed i have a lot more opportunities to do the same...
this week, i also spent quite a bit of energy interviewing people. for the record, i interviewed 3 persons consecutively last afternoon. it was really tiring and mentally draining. and certainly, it was an interesting experience cos all 3 candidates were significantly different from each other in terms of qualifications and character. and frankly, i had fun despite feeling exhausted after the interviews.
and for the first time, i completed a business proposal myself. it was a simple proposal. nonetheless, i felt a sense of achievement cos i managed to do it by myself. i finally submitted it this evening. last but not least, i managed to review and update my business budget for the coming year. difficult and detailed process. but yes, i did it... heh heh...
i am glad the weekend is here.
