have been helping out bee in selling mooncakes at the parkway parade shopping center over the past few days... erm, ok, ok not really selling but rather, in placking, unpacking, accounting, displaying and so on. but whenever the opportunity allowed, i'd try doing some promoting. but being unfamiliar with the product, i could only do as much as smile and give a brief superficial introduction.
today, and given that bee was at work, i decided to drop by to reinforce james. and i must say there were really lots of opportunities given that the evening crowd was quite good. i decided to try doing the selling proper and went about memorizing the products. before i knew it, a guy came along. after some introduction, i was able to sense his interest in buying. but as he could not decide on which flavour to take, i recommended the premium assortment pack to him. frankly, i was trying my luck as the assortment pack was not really moving very fast today. and what do you know! he actually took my recommendation and asked for 2 boxes on the spot!
heh heh, my first sale! it certainly felt good.
well, i am having fun at the moment. not too sure if this is gonna be something i want to do in the longer term. but of cos, to help out is something that i think i can do. for now.
