i had bought all the ingredients to make bak chang (dumpling) this year. the dumpling festival fell on yesterday and i had planned to make the bak chang in the morning. i didn't. i ended up spending my day in office. my colleague had arranged for a paint job to be done in office over the day but couldn't stay the whole duration of the painting and i had to cover her. so... anyway, it allowed me to catch up with my work.
my boss had asked me to do some big time framing last month and when i briefed him on what i had done (after adhering to his flow, etc), he told me that was not what he wanted. and he gave all sorts of new requirements to me. and after that, he emailed me a couple sets of slides from his previous company and told me to use that as a reference and to reframe the paper all over again. then he went on 3 weeks leave. sighs.
well, his absence was a good break for me mentally as it allowed me much space to catch up with lots of stuff. but during the last week or so, he started to email my colleagues and i from states (where he was holidaying) and arrowing us to do stuff for him. and added to that, he started to ask us if we had completed what he tasked us to do and reminded us he wants to see our products when he returns yadda yadda yadda... rather unhappy with this but well, he's the boss.
so, ya... back to the bak chang. well, didn't get to make it yesterday and i ended up with quite a few relatives and friends asking me if i made any this year... heh. will do it next week. let's hope i don't get distracted this time round.
:-)
