calendar from colleague

i received quite a few calendars lately and had passed them to the different colleagues who needed calendars. many accepted the calendars happily and some even asked for specific features - e.g. calendars with bigger layout to allow them to scribble their notes, or calendars with animals, etc, and i was glad i was able to fulfil their requests. frankly, of the few calendars i obtained, i do really liked one particular design and i had 2 of it. but i decided to give them away cos i don't really need them. if i had kept them, it would be such a waste cos i'd probably discard them sometime later. i was glad everyone managed to get what they wanted and was happy.

and today, i was literally thrown off my chair when one colleague came up to me and handed me a beautiful floral-designed box. i opened up the box and in it was a very beautifully designed calendar. now, this colleague had recently undergone a major brain tumour operations and i had kept close tabs on her well-being throughout her recuperation period. she is still not able to talk and as she passed me the calendar, she held my hands and said softly "jeffrey, this is for you. thank you for all you have done for me. happy new year". i really didn't know how to react that very moment. i simply thanked her for it and returned the new year wishes...

felt so touched by her gesture.

:-)
