as a cap to the intense week, mum went over the top with her emo swings.
sunday started fine when i brought her out for breakfast. as usual, she wanted lontong and enjoyed it. we came home and she was excited about the suggestion about watching a show about dinosaurs at the singapore science center omnimax theatre. gave the dog a bath and brought her down to dry in the hot sun. thought the sun would help prevent any fungal growth on her skin. and i came home about 45min later to a very unhappy mum. i went into my room and noted a missed call from mum and asked her if there's anything urgent. i explained to her again that i did not answer the call as i had left my phone in the room when i brought the dog down to dry. she replied curtly that she was just calling for fun and told me i need not explain to her my whereabouts, and that i could just so anything i wanted and need not tell her. the day went downhill from there.
she pouted through the afternoon. during the journey to the science centre, she ignored me and acted like i was invisible. it was not a comfortable feeling. i tried to explain to her why i did not answer her call and again, she repeated how she was in no position to control where i go, what i do and who i meet. and at the science centre, she closed her eyes and slept through omnimax show. i tried to speak to her and chatted about her show. she said she watched it throughout but otherwise, kept quiet. at my brother's place, her face continued to be black as it could be, she played with the kids yet she avoided me. and she refused everything i offered and she refused dinner when she noted i will be cooking it. and she kept telling everyone in the household how my dad ill-treated her, how she was able to survive without food for months, etc. she asked the maid to prepare some joss stick to pay respect to the family altar for her. as the maid had not done this before, she seemed a little confused. i went forward to do it, and when i passed it to mum, she refused to take it. instead, she asked the maid to do it for her instead. i lost my cool at that point in time.
anyway, her refusal to eat made everyone in the household very uncomfortable. my brother'ss family didn't know how to respond. i told them to go ahead and let her be. after our dinner, she asked the maid to tell me she wanted to head home. she refused to talk to me. her pouting continued when we arrived home. we simply sat on the sofa and watched tv. she avoided her medication at 9.30pm, her usual medication time and said she'll take at 10pm. at 10pm, she said she'll take at 11pm. i lost my cool again. she insisted she didn't do anything wrong. at 11pm, she insisted she didn't want to take her medication and started crying again. all her self-pity stories started again. she continued to refuse her medications, saying she wanted to die. i was so so so frustrated i told her to go ahead, die if she wants. couldn't take her non-stop nonsense. fucking hell! i let the maid manage her as i retired to bed.
she continued to avoid me this morning. might as well, at least i will have my break from her.
