u are?

yesterday, i finally experienced and understood the full effect of the depression medication i have been taking. i brought my mum to the clinic for a review. the review came 3 days after i brought her to the a&e last week for incontinence.

at the clinic, i walked into the doctor's consultation room, and i passed her the memo. and she asked me why i was there and i stood there with a totally blank mind. for the longest moment, i couldn't remember why i was there. i literally stood and stared into the blank space. and just like a school boy taking his exam unprepared, i tried very hard to take a peek at the memo to see what the a&e doctor wrote... and my eyes caught the word "incontinence". then, everything came back.

it was a scary experience. it felt like my memory was totally wiped away. and for that moment, i fully understood what my mum meant when she said she couldn't remember things. and it could be as simple as what she ate 2 hours before...

  1. No wonder my son said the depression medication wiped out 12 years of his childhood memories. He has no recollection of them.

    It happened even after I stopped his medication after a few weeks when I found out about the side effects on the internet.

    The psychiatrist said there wasn't any side effects even though my son was only 15 then. :{
