mum had been going to the rehab center almost daily since 19 dec. and she has kinda grown used to the routine. these days, she calls the daily routine of going to the rehab as "going to work". and she refers to herself as the "worker", and the rehab center staffs as "executives". also, she would refer to the rehab executive (the real one) as the "supervisor"...
imagine this - when i asked her if she gave ang pows to the rehab center staff, she retorted that they should be the ones giving her ang pows instead. afterall, she is only the worker there and rightfully, "executives" should give "workers" ang pows and not the other way round....
and 2 days ago, she asked me this interesting question. she said "tomorrow, i was told the big boss is coming. but i do not know his name. but since he is my big boss, i, as the worker, should address him as 'sir' right?" and i told her, no need, you can address whichever name your rehab center staff address him as. it was clear she was uncomfortable cos she asked in disbelief "how can, i am only a worker..."
hmmm...
funny right?
