my office was so peaceful over the last week while the previous boss was away in states. i took over him in the midst of his absence. and the office was really a cheery place to be. people are all smiley and cheerful. and today, he got back. and i could sense the negative energy straight away. everyone was so tensed up. there seemed to be an air of hostility. everyone seemed to be scuttering around doing what they were doing. everyone seemed a little disturbed knowing that he is back. it does not matter that he is not longer the boss. i am. but the fact that he still occupy the bosses' office, and that his mere presence alone made people uncomfortable.
i took the courtesy to pop my head into the office to say hi. and next thing i knew, i was caught in a half hour bitching session by him about how screwed up so and so is, how fucked up the hr department is, how...
such negative energies...
i can certainly do without all these hostility.
it's sad to see someone so bitter.
but well, it is his choice.
