a sign of worsening condition?

this morning after the maid changed mum's diapers, mum called out to me and asked me how to wear her sarong.

it was weird. she obviously had her sarong on, yet she was figuring out how to wear it. i didn't want to cause her any alarm. i simply told her that she had her sarong on. but she sounded a little confused and said once again that she wanted to wear her sarong right.

hmmm, she never had any problems with her sarong before. and this was the very first time this happened. was this a sign of worsening of her mental abilities?

i don't know. then again, even if it is, i am not surprised.

let's see how things go.

  1. Hi Jeffrey,

I hope it was just a flustered morning for your mum.

    Best wishes, Edwin

  2. Thanks Edwin,

I hope so too but then again, even if it is not, I am not surprise. At her age and with her existing conditions, the only way things can develop is downwards.

Glad to hear from you again!

  4. z,

it's a conflicting thought actually. on one hand, i wish that her condition doesn't worsen, yet on the other hand, i knew it will come and because of that, sometimes i wish for it to come faster so that it will rid her of having to suffer as well as for me to have less tensions looking after her. and guiltily, it is the latter reasons that made me wish for her to deteriorate faster.

  5. I understand what you mean, it's better for her to "leave" this world rather than suffering, but then nothing's in our hands, reading you later posts, i know you are having a hard time trying to juggle up everything...i don't know what to say lah, all i can do is, keep you in my thoughts and pray for you, may you have the strength to endure whatever hardships you face in life...

    bless it be
