went for my emg and nerve conduction test on friday. the conduction test was kinda interesting. a lot of twitching of my hands due to the electric current being made to pass through my nerves. a little painful but otherwise, manageable. the really painful one was the emg. it involved poking needles into my muscles to check the impulses sent by my nerves. and it was so bloody painful. in all, the doctor pierced me 4 times - my thumb area, my elbow, my arm, my neck.
the whole procedure took about 45min. and by the time it was over, i had broken into cold sweat. but well, the good thing was that the doctor told me my nerves seemed pretty ok and that the numbness i felt in my little finger was probably due to my sleeping posture. and for now, it doesn't seemed like it was due to the cervical spondylosis. and that means, no need for op.
then again, i will have to go back to the specialist to confirm this findings.
