this coming week will be the final week of the course. the graduation will be on wed evening. a grand affair. and the ball will be on fri evening.
but i am not looking forward to all these events. i must say that over the past 3 years, i had attended at least 5 graduation ceremonies, 2 graduation balls, and so on. and they have become somewhat routine. i don't get excited about them anymore. yes, i enjoy interacting with the students. intellectually, it is very stimulating. but emotionally, the attachment is not as strong now. not as compared to the first course. but i guess this is natural. it is the same with my colleagues. it is the same with many of my friends in the teaching line.
first love will always be the most impressionable. same analogy.
