somehow, the evil in me actually wish that 377a will not be repealed... cos with such a heightened profile both locally and internationally, if it stays, it means the country has created a new group of people, a group called the discriminated. singapore will henceforth never ever be called a fair country. and the country will now have a new stigma in the world. and this indirectly gives us a louder voice. this is my evil side speaking and thinking aloud. go on, keep it. if it is repealed, many of my friends will have nothing more to do :-)
also, if the people who posted ultra-religious views in the net are not apprehended, singapore will also be branded as a country that condone such extreme religious/ hate views by a certain group. this will do big time damage to social fabric and also the image of this otherwise clean and perfect country in the world.
perhaps this is just an indicator of the fatigue that i am feeling after observing the episode unfold since many months back. i cannot wait for an end of this episode.
