watched this in cantonese when i was in hk over the chinese new year weekend and again over this weekend, except that it was in chinese. i personally find the cantonese version funnier. thought it was an interesting movie that makes one laugh through all the very corny jokes - very stephen chow. but beneath the jokes, there were a lot of buddhist lessons - about human nature, about greed, about attachments, etc. enjoyed it lots.
very good effects too.
