lifted my leg to get into the bath tub and ended up hitting my left knee against the marble vanity top. the impact so great that it dislodge the marble. but i didn't feel anything and next thing i knew my whole leg was full of blood that kept flowing and flowing. i saw a deep gash on my knee cap. it was whitish inside and blood was flowing out non-stop. took a hand towel and applied pressure onto the wound but it was no use. the blood continued to flow and a puddle of blood had formed. out of some minor desperation, i pinched the wound, holding the two flaps of skin together. the whole process to arrest the bleeding took me about 5min. but it seemed forever.
went to the clinic to have the wound stitched up. i knew i will continue to bleed if i leave it as it was. the areas around the wound was badly swollen by then. the doctor cleaned it and sewed me up. it was helluva painful despite the anasthesia injection. i had 3 stitches in all. and he gave me a tetanus jab too. just for precaution.
need to return next thursday to remove the stitches.
