performance appraisal


met up with my boss for my performance appraisal yesterday. given a "b" grade. didn't feel good at all... considering all the things i had done and the systems that i had set-up for the group over the past year...

anyway, as he gave me my appraisal, he went on and on about how much good i had done and how much the top management appreciated my contributions. and he added, in confidence, that the management is looking towards parking a whole hr function under me in the coming year... notwithstanding the fact that i have been tasked to look into a couple of major projects...

hmmm... frankly, i would just like to throw my letter and move on. let me bide my time, search for possible opportunities, get my bonus before i throw my letter. don't really like the idea of me being used and abused time and again and not given the recognition during performance appraisals...

wtf...

Your boss sounds like mine, despite I met 200% of the performance target, he wouldn't give me a bonus, and whole mark excellent went to the bin as he put long dash on my bonus column, happened every year, now I only turn up and say "boss, where do I sign?"
