medical leave

went back to work today after 2 days of course break (well, 2 days of sick leave for me actually), it was cough-cough-cough non-stop. and my block nose kept getting block no matter how frequently i cleared them... and my throat was just screamingly painful... and to top it off, i just kept perspiring on and on and on... despite the fact that it was a rather cold morning and i had not done any physical activities. i decided to report sick after sometime.

luckily, the doctor that attended to me was not the usual nsf chow-keng tua pwee lor-koon-m.o. this time round, it was one of the more on-the-ball one. after going through the procedure of taking my temperature, checking my throat (open your mouth and say `arhhh...') la la la... he looked at me very seriously and said "i think i need to sent you for an x-ray. you are certainly not fit to be at work. i will give you 2 days mc and after that do get an x-ray done and come back to see me."

wah say!!! hearing about the 2 days mc almost cleared me of all my symptoms on the spot! :-) but seriously, he was concerned about the bloody phlegm i had been experiencing and judging from what i had told him, he wanted to be sure that i had not contracted some form of bronchitis or the likes... so here i am, back at home, feeling groggy from all the medication (again)...

ok, time to go back to my homework...
